The Heli-Pile System

Intermountain Helical Piers installs Heli-Pile brand piers because they are the highest quality and offer the most options to meet every deep foundation challenge. Heli-Pile has three product lines, each with unique characteristics and advantages.

Conventional Helical Piers have a solid steel square shaft fabricated from a round corner square bar. They contain welded couplings for greater strength, and their design eliminates shaft heat damage caused by upset coupling process. All helix modules use 1/2” thick high-strength steel, with leading edges that are sharpened and rock cut.

The Modular Helical Pier system [also a solid steel square shaft] provides flexibility to change lead section configurations by adding or removing helices at the job site to conform to actual soil conditions. In addition, extension lengths may be altered at the job site to fit field conditions as needed. The modular system eliminates the loose “weak link” bolted coupling concerns common with other systems.

Square Shaft Tubular Helical Piers are ideal for softer soil conditions, offering efficient torque transfer. This minimizes concerns associated with over-torquing pipe-style helical piers.
